Despite the lack of development in this section I actually already have written an ending for this game. If you played or saw the ending of my last game,Suros, then this will be a similar doozy! Regardless, the campaign structure I am currently working with is a rinse and repeat style and therefore there will be no “losing the game” and instead a how long did it take you to complete? There are multiple pages to this campaign but they are so undercooked I will just show off the main general idea of it.
SLOTS ARE NOW COLOR CODED
One thing I noticed while designing gear is that it was difficult to make the pieces to feel truly ”different” from one another. Now, the slots that gear have are color coded. Daggers will favor heavily with Aura artifacts (black slots) and staffs simply hold a lot more of them and can be any color combo. The same goes for every piece of gear. If a gear piece gives the player armor or a certain stat boost, it will likely have Red slots to accomodate that which would in turn help a DPS type build.
In my previous post where I showed off the map, mechanically it all worked but it felt so….empty. For toher various reason this new design I think will work much better and also resembles a layout similar to my previous game, Suros. With a boss, 3 minions and 3 players on the board the map withs a lot more dense which in turn raises the stakes as things will feel more claustrophobic. I will certainly need to do some retooling of enemy attack cards to make it work for this new layout but the good things is this may give me new ideas for new mechanics!
